Ronda Rousey’s run through WWE thus far has been an extraordinary success.
The former UFC women’s bantamweight champ made her in-ring debut for the company back at WrestleMania 34 when she teamed up with Hall Of Famer and Monday Night RAW General Manager Kurt Angle. The pair of former Olympians defeated Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in Mixed Tag Team action.
She’s now expected to make her second attempt at capturing WWE gold at SummerSlam later this month. Rousey will take on Alexa Bliss for the RAW Women’s Title at the PPV event.
WWE Superstar Sheamus was recently interviewed by TMZ and discussed Rousey’s run. He was then asked if he thinks UFC mega-star Conor McGregor could make a WWE jump after seeing Rousey’s success.
Sheamus, who has had issues with McGregor in the past as the pair exchanged words through media, said he believes anything is possible as Rousey has opened up the door for anybody to come to WWE:
“I think anything is possible now with Ronda in the WWE,” Sheamus said. “Ronda’s killing it, so the door is open for anybody.”
