Before his career as a professional wrestler, Roman Reigns chased a career as a professional football player. He played defensive tackle for the Georgia Tech football team. Reigns was once named as a member of theĀ first-team All-Atlantic Coast ConferenceĀ (ACC) in 2006 after racking up 29 tackles-for-a-loss and 12 sacks.
He went undrafted in the 2007 NFL Draft but went on to have stints with the Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars. Reigns then went on to play for the Canadian Football League and was signed to the Edmonton Eskimos. He retired from football after being released from the team in 2008.
Now, Reigns is one of the featured faces of the WWE. Reigns recently debuted Georgia Tech’s new Adidas uniforms at a special event. You can check out some videos here:

As for his WWE career, Reigns is set to challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at SummerSlam later this month. The pay-per-view (PPV) goes down from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on August 19, 2018.
