Two former WWE Superstars are backstage at tonight’s Smackdown Live in Orlando.
Celeste Bonin, aka Kaitlyn, is backstage. She is there because she has been training for the Mae Young Classic. In fact, all of the women were brought in over the weekend so they can plan out their matches ahead of the tapings starting tomorrow. As is the case for many of the women in the tournament, Kaitlyn is hoping that this leads to a WWE contract.
As you can see in the photo below, Hulk Hogan is backstage. That doesn’t necessarily mean that he will be on the show. Hogan doesn’t live too far away so he might be there to visit with friends. Earlier today, he was visiting at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers training camp. As of now, WWE says that Hogan has not signed a new deal.
Hogan has been teasing a big announcement for October 27. I asked a couple of people in WWE and they have no idea what it is but the impression I got was that the announcement was not WWE-related. Perhaps, he is launching a podcast. That is just a guess from me.
