It looks like CM Punk has another legal fight on his hands. According to Cook County Circuit Court in Illinois, he is being sued by Colt Cabana for breach of contract and fraud.
The lawsuit alleges that Punk made a promise to help him with his legal bills during the legal battle against WWE doctor Chris Amann. Cabana says that Punk told him that his legal bills would be “100% covered.”
Cabana says that his former friend has not kept his promise and he is now on the hook for $513,736 in legal bills, according to the lawsuit.
The lawsuit alleges that Punk later told him to pay half of his own fees totaling $256,868 and added “You are on your own.” Cabana is asking for $200,000 in general damages and $1 million in punitive exemplary damages.
The lawsuit claims, “Brooks acted with fraud, malice and oppression toward Colton, with the deliberate intention of causing Colton harm.”
Shortly after the court case, Cabana did an interview with Bryan Alvarez from the Wrestling Observer and said that the Dr. Amann case drained his bank account.
