Tommaso Ciampa is at the top of the WWE’s NXT program.
The former NXT Tag Team Champion won the brand’s World Title earlier this month on an episode of NXT. He defeated Aleister Black to capture the strap after some accidental assistance from rival Johnny Gargano. Ciampa, along with Neville, is one of two WWE stars in history to have won the NXT Title and NXT Tag Team Titles.
Ciampa recently did an interview with WWE to talk about his recent success in NXT. In regards to his NXT Title win, Ciampa went as far as claiming that he’s the “greatest sports-entertainer of all time”:
“It’s good to be champ, and right now, there truly is no debate. I am the champion of champions. I’m the main event. I’m untouchable. I, Tommaso Ciampa, am the greatest sports-entertainer of all time.”
