Ricochet is scheduled to challenge for the NXT North American Championship at Takeover: Brooklyn 4 but it will be interesting to see how much he will be able to do because, as Dave Meltzer noted, he has been hurting for some time.
He was injured after missing a dive on 6/11 at a show in Paris, France and then he was pulled from the next show on the tour. Triple H noted on the NXT Takeover: Chicago conference call that he tweaked something and he was taken off the road as a precautionary measure. He worked on the Takeover: Chicago show but has not worked any matches since the TV tapings on 6/21.
Meltzer was told that his situation isn’t something that serious but they wanted to give him time to heal up before the show in Brooklyn. On this week’s episode of NXT TV, they had The Undisputed ERA attack him before he made his way to the ring for a match.
