Triple H has commented on Neville’s current status with WWE.
Back in October Neville was scheduled to lose to Enzo Amore in a Lumberjack match on RAW. Instead, Kalisto wrestled Amore after Neville decided to walk out on the company. WWE has since denied reports that Neville quite WWE. It was reported that Neville was frustrated by the direction of his character.
It was also noted that WWE refused to grant Neville his release and froze his contract until both parties could come to an agreement. Neville can not compete for any other promotion given that he’s still technically under contract with WWE. Several months ago Neville moved back to the United Kingdom with his wife, fueling the rumors that his time with WWE has come to an end.
In a recent conference call to promote NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV, Triple H discussed Neville’s current situation. Here’s what he had to say:
“To be honest, I’m not 100% positive,” Triple H replied. “I would need to go back and look into that.”
Triple H was also asked about the possibility of Neville being used for the WWE’s UK brand:
“You are 100% right, [Neville] is one of the most talented guys in the world,” Triple H admitted. “I love the time that he spent with us in NXT, he did a great job of building up the Cruiserweight division on 205 [Live]. Time will see where that ends up.”
