WWE has confirmed that news that broke on Monday in regards to Erick Rowan’s injury.
They announced today that Rowan will be undergoing surgery for a torn right bicep. The injury occurred on Sunday at SummerSlam when he did a dive through the ropes. Rowan was not at the live event in Atlantic City on Monday night but he was at Smackdown Live so he and tag team partner Luke Harper could drop the Smackdown Tag Team Titles to The New Day. They scripted the match in a way so that they could work around Rowan’s injury.
A torn bicep could keep him out of action for approximately 6 months which would mean that he would be back in time in February or March, just in time for WrestleMania.
