Jim Ross explains how he and Paul Heyman became good friends

WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross has released a new episode of his podcast, The Ross Report, in which he discusses several professional wrestling topics. During the show, Ross talked about his relationship with Paul Heyman. Ross and Heyman formerly shared the Raw commentary booth together in WWE several years ago.

Today, Ross appears on WWE TV from time-to-time while Heyman is a regular character on Raw, serving as Brock Lesnar’s advocate. With Lesnar’s recent departure from WWE, however, it’s unknown when we’ll see Heyman again. Ross revealed that he once received a DUI that, in turn, caused his drivers license to be suspended.

This forced the Hall Of Famer to have to ride with Paul Heyman. With all the time that they spent together, Ross and Heyman became great friends:

“I’ve mentioned before that I’ve had a DUI.” Ross said. “I’m not proud of it. I lost my drivers license for, I think, three months or six months. I’m not sure, but I know my driver was Paul Heyman, which let me get to know Paul and we started working together.

“And you see how that has worked out over the years, very good. It’s funny how sometimes a calamity can bring people together. And the volatile ‘Happy’ Heyman and I became connected through my stupid DUI.”
