Former WWE star arrested before All In show

Former WWE star and current Ring Of Honor producer Joey Mercury (real name Adam Carlson Birch) was arrested on Saturday morning, according to the police report obtained by PWInsider.

Police had contact with Mercury at 6:58 am outside of the Schaumburg, IL Marriot where he was found sleeping in his car. Police approached his car and after running his information, they realized that there was an outstanding warrant for him in Orange County, Florida.

There are no charges pending in Illinois but he was taken in and held on $2,500 bond ahead of a court date set for tomorrow. This could end up with him being extradited to Florida. As of this writing, there are no details available on why there was a warrant out for him.

Mercury was part of the MNM tag team with Johnny Nitro in WWE and was released in 2007. He was brought back a couple of years later and ended up as part of CM Punk’s Straight Edge Society.

In recent years, he was part of J&J Security alongside Jamie Noble but he was quietly let go in 2017. Mercury helped behind the scenes with the planning for the All In show and he was supposed to be backstage on Saturday night but plans changed when he was arrested.
