Big Cass speaks out for the first time since his WWE release

Former WWE Superstar Big Cass was on “Heated Conversations with Booker T” over the weekend and he spoke about his release for the first time.

“Book, if I’m going to be honest with you, I made a lot of mistakes. I made a lot of mistakes in a very short period of time. You know, I did some things that I shouldn’t have done,” Cass said.

“I guess the company — they couldn’t rely on me, they couldn’t trust me. Look, I’ll just be honest with you, in my opinion, they made the right decision for them. It was the right decision to get rid of me at that point in time. I’m not saying I won’t be back but at that point in time they definitely made the right decision for them and to be honest with you, looking at it they made the right decision for me. Too many mistakes in too short a period — everyone makes mistakes but when you make that many mistakes in that short of a period of time then you lose people’s trust and you’re not reliable anymore.”

Booker put him over as being a big man to own up to his mistakes. He asked Cass if he would have fired himself.

“Yeah, I would have,” Cass said. “I definitely — I would have fired myself. If I was in Vince McMahon’s position, I would have fired myself for sure, one hundred percent.”

Booker talked about his own experiences when he was young and he says that he learned from that. He also pointed out that Drew McIntyre didn’t understand what he had during his early years in WWE but now he is back and better than ever. Booker asked what will be Cass’ route on his way back to WWE.

“So here’s the thing. I started with Johnny Rodz at his school when I was very young. I never really got to see what else was out there because about a year into me training I got a call from WWE and they signed me. I got signed right away to FCW, so my whole career has been pretty much in FCW and NXT. I never really got to see what else is out there. There’s a whole world out there right now so I just wanna get out there and see what else is going on. But I will be back [and] obviously the goal is to come back to WWE so right now I’m just kind of gonna explore and take opportunities where they show themselves to me to me. I will be back in WWE hopefully one day if they’ll have me back”

During the interview, Cass said that he has another 22 days left on his 90-day no-compete. He has a booking later this month and is going under the name Big C. Booker reminded Cass that there is life outside of WWE and he cited the All In show as an example.

Cass shut down the idea of a reunion with Enzo Amore. He admitted that he and Amore do not keep and contact and they are no longer friends but joked that he would be up for a reunion “if the money is right” but no offers have come along. Cass did say “never say never” to a reunion with Amore but he doesn’t think there’s a chance right now.
