There were reports last week claiming that the ticket sales for the WWE Evolution pay-per-view were slow. The reason why WWE announced Alexa Bliss vs. Trish Stratus and Lita vs. Mickie James so early was to help boost ticket sales.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, 7,000 tickets have been sold for the show and it looks like they will come close to selling out because the Nassau Coliseum is set up for 10,900 seats for wrestling. 2,400 of the tickets sold so far were from ticket brokers.
The show is set to take place at the end of next month so there is plenty of time for them to sell the remaining tickets.
As of this writing, here are the matches announced for Evolution:
– Alexa Bliss vs. Trish Stratus
– Mickie James vs. Lita
– Io Shirai vs. Toni Storm
– The finals of the WWE Mae Young Classic
– Every women’s title from every brand will be defended
