For those of you that missed it, Jeff Hardy swung off the top of the inside of the Hell in a Cell structure and crashed through a table that was set up in the ring. That led to the referee calling for the cage to be raised so EMT’s could get to him. Orton pinned Hardy to win the match.
The announcers tried to play it off as a serious injury and clearly, there were fans concerned because everyone knows that Hardy has been dealing with legitimate back and neck issues.
Later in the show, it was announced that Hardy was taken to a medical facility because of abdominal pain. Apparently, WWE didn’t want to come up with a storyline injury that would bring attention to his real-life neck and back issues so they went with abdominal pain as the storyline injury.
Anyway, we heard that Hardy was banged up but was walking around backstage so he should be fine.
