KUSHIDA has his final NJPW (New Japan Pro Wrestling) match booked as he’ll take on IWGP Heavyweight Champion Hiroshi Tanahashi at an event that will be part of The Road to New Beginning tour. This match will take place on Jan. 29 at Korakuen Hall.
Earlier this week it was revealed that the NJPW star would be departing from the promotion at the end of the month when his contract expires. Although nothing has yet to be officially announced, there have been strong rumors that he could be headed to the WWE after the sports entertainment company has expressed interest in signing him once it was revealed in early December that his contract was set to expire.
KUSHIDA lost the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title to Taiji Ishimori at Wrestle Kingdom 13 on Jan. 4 and then the next night at New Year Dash to Will Ospreay in six-man tag team action.
The 10-night tour of Road to New Beginning events is slated to start on Jan. 26 and ends on Feb. 9. Here is the schedule for the tour:

Night 3 – Tokyo (Korakuen Hall)
Night 4– Miyagi (Sendai Sun Plaza)

Night 8 – Aichi (Nagoya Congress Center Event Hall)
Night 9– Mie (Yokkaichi City Green Park Gymnasium #2)
Night 10 – Osaka (Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium #2 – EDION Arena Osaka)
