WATCH: AEW founder Tony Khan discusses plans for the company, health insurance, more

AEW founder Tony Khan spoke with media members including WrestlingNews.co following the Double or Nothing rally was held on Tuesday about various topics. Khan started out by stating that he has been a fan of wrestling since he was seven years old and that this made sense for not only him but also for a new business venture. He thinks All Elite Wrestling is a great opportunity for the wrestlers. Khan also talked about wrestlers receiving health insurance. He stated that for the full-time employees they would have the best health care package possible and the same as senior employees of the Jacksonville Jaguars. He did note that it would be different for people depending on their involvement with the company. Regarding contracts, he thinks they have a great structure in place, and all contracts will be different but plans to work with other companies to use talent as well as sign free agents. He believes wrestlers will take on greater roles and be important to this business. When reflecting about the All In event last year, he thought what Cody and The Young Bucks pulled off with that show and drawing the number of fans for the live show was special. Going forward as friends, they’re all moving in the same direction and have the same vision for the AEW.
