Ever since All Elite Wrestling was officially announced by Cody and The Young Bucks earlier this month during an episode of Being The Elite, there has been a lot of excitement from fans about the possibilities of the promotion.
AEW’s first-ever show is set to take place from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 25th. The pay-per-view event will be called “Double Or Nothing.” The next logical step is to get a television deal locked down.
One TV network that has been brought up as a potential home for the promotion is AXS TV after they’ve had a successful working relationship with New Japan Pro Wrestling for a while. Thus, some fans think it would be a realistic possibility for AEW to secure a deal with it.
AXS TV CEO Andrew Simon recently spoke with Wrestling Inc.’s Nick Hausman about potentially working with AEW in order to broadcast their television show that is reportedly set to be a two-hour program.
“We have a strong partner in New Japan Pro Wrestling. With AEW, I believe there are talks out there for television deals, but currently, we are not looking to add AEW to the roster. But we’d be open to listening. Our first priority will always be to our current partner.”
