WWE SmackDown live event after Royal Rumble has been cancelled

The Tucson Convention Center and WWE have announced that the SmackDown live event that was scheduled for the Monday night after the Royal Rumble hasĀ been cancelled.

The official announcement says that it’s because of production issues but this will cause fans to speculate that either this was because of low ticket sales or perhaps WWE wants the entire roster available to appear on Monday Night Raw.

If they are moving forward with another Draft/Superstar Shake-Up then that would explain the cancellation.

STAMFORD, Conn., January 11, 2019 ā€“ The WWE (NYSE: WWE) live event scheduled for January 28 at the Tucson Convention Center in Tucson, AZ has been cancelled due to production issues.
All tickets purchased will be refunded at point of purchase.

Monday Night RawĀ® on January 28 and SmackDownĀ® Live on January 29 at Talking Stick Resort Arena will take place as scheduled; tickets are available atĀ www.Ticketmaster.com.
