Matt Hardy’s days in the ring are not over. His spinal issues are not a secret but he made it clear on Twitter on Sunday that he plans on getting in the ring again for WWE and indicated that he feels better after physical rehabilitation.
Hardy thanked Ringside Collectibles for their recent action figure made in his likeness and then he addressed his in-ring future. He wrote, “Thank you for continuing to make such DELIGHTFUL action figures for wrestling fans & my children to enjoy, @RingsideC! The Latest Version of Matt Hardy will be back in action on @WWE soon & I cannot wait to see you produce even newer figurines!”

In response to a fan, he made things more clear. He said, “No, I am not retired & not going to be retiring anytime soon. I’ve worked my ass off to rehabilitate & have physically been greenlit. My body is in the best shape it’s been in in years & I’m the lightest I’ve been in 20 years.”

Hardy hasn’t wrestled since last September and has been working behind-the-scenes as a producer.
Last August, Reby Hardy said Matt was going through a transitional period and seemed ready for her husband to hang up his boots. She said, “So, I think for him the realm of a career and a life outside of in-ring action is sort of hard for someone like him to imagine. But it is possible, I feel like, obviously and that’s what I’m hoping he steers toward. I mean, his body can only take so much. It’s been 25, 26 years of this.”
Apparently, plans changed and Matt is feeling better so we could see him in the ring for a few more years to come.
In the video below, Jeff told us that he didn’t think his brother Matt was really retired.
