News on Matt and Jeff Hardy’s future with WWE

As we’ve previously reported, Matt and Jeff Hardy’s contracts with WWE are set to expire sometime in late March or early April.

Dave Meltzer noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that they are not expected to leave the company. The expectation is that they are sticking around for at least another year. It is believed that there is a one-year option that WWE will pick up and that includes a substantial pay raise.

Earlier this week, Matt Hardy said that he’s gotten himself in better shape and he is lighter now than he’s been in 20 years and feels great so he plans on wrestling again.

The Young Bucks vs. Hardy Boyz would be a great program in All Elite Wrestling but any Hardy/AEW speculation can be put to rest, at least until next year.

Matt’s return to the ring is not a shock because never outright said that he was done and, as you can see in the video below, Jeff recently told us that he didn’t think Matt was done.
