One injured WWE star is not only teasing his return to in-ring action under the WWE banner but also a potential partnership as a tag team with future WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio.
Just last month, Cara, who has been out of action following knee surgery back in August, was spotted at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. He’s been working towards getting cleared to officially return to action.
There was a report last month that Cara was expected to work with Mysterio when he returns. This could be a tease of what to come as WWE could have them be tag team partners only to have Cara turn heel by attacking Mysterio and kick-starting a feud. As of this writing, there’s no word yet on exactly when Cara is expected to make his return.
Cara posted the following on his official Twitter account, “Almost time to be back and ready to be the best that I can be. Future Tag Team!?”

Before he was injured, Cara was working with former NXT Champion Andrade “Cien” Almas in a feud on the blue brand that kicked off on the May 30th episode of SmackDown Live only to be blown off in a match that went down on the Extreme Rules Kickoff show on July 15 at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
