Another NJPW (New Japan Pro Wrestling) star has departed from the promotion. This time it’s a rising star, which is Katsuya Kitamura. The promotion recently announced that he is done with the company.
It was noted by NJPW Announcer Chris Charlton in a series of posts on his official Twitter account that Kitamura was injured while training and since then, he had been doing medical treatment and rehabbing for over a year now. Thus, after having talks with NJPW officials, he decided to walk away from the company.
Kitamura’s first match under the NJPW came when teamed up with Manabu Nakanishi in a loss against Tomohiro Ishii and Toru Yano last March. It will be interesting to see where he goes from him after he was a stand out from the other Young Lions in NJPW after winning the 2017 Young Lion’s Cup.
It was noted in an article by F4WOnline that this star had been offered a new contract for 2019.
