Former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champions Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch have reacted to the big change to one WrestleMania match. Originally, WWE Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey was slated to defend her title against Lynch at the show.
However, after having issues with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon announced at the end of this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw in Grand Rapids, MI at the Van Andel Arena on the USA Network that Lynch would be “suspended” for 60 days.
Thus, not allowing her to compete at Mania. He would then introduce Flair as the new opponent for Rousey at the biggest event of the year for the WWE. It’s been rumored for months now that a Triple Threat Match between these stars would take place.
Flair reacted to the news by writing the following on her official Twitter account:
“I’m going to #WrestleMania…ISN’T THIS EXCITING?!?! Wow, I didn’t realize that so many of you didn’t want me in the match. Taking that into account, I’ll be asking management to remove me effectively immediately. J/K. I could not possibly care less what you think.”
