WATCH: The New Day recreated the infamous Barber Shop segment

The Barber Shop segment from 1992 is one of the most famous heel turns in WWE history. After months of friction, Shawn Michaels finally turned on Marty Jannetty and then embarked on a singles run that would later propel Michaels to main event status. The incident is remembered fondly by long-time fans because it was considered hardcore for that time period, especially on Saturday morning television. Quick fact…there were three sets of glass on set that day and the people in charge accidentally used real glass which caused Marty to get cut up and bloodied when Michaels shoved him through.

The New Day recreated the incident and the video was posted on WWE’s social media accounts. As you can see below, Big E plays the role of Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake. Xavier Woods plays Marty Jannetty and Kofi Kingston plays the Shawn Michaels role.

It’s an awesome remake and a nice tribute to old school wrestling. Check it out below:
