In a follow-up to the angle that took place at Saturday’s WWE live event in Alexandria, Louisiana, WWE has announced that Becky Lynch has re-injured her knee.
For those of you that missed it, Flair was wrestling SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka but Lynch did a run-in. The run-in backfired because Flair was able to get her hands on a steel chair and, despite WWE officials trying to get her to back off, she proceeded to attack Lynch’s leg.
This comes on the heels of Vince McMahon announcing last week that Lynch would be replaced by Flair at WrestleMania for the Raw Women’s Championship match.
Of course, all of this is just a storyline and Lynch is expected to be inserted into the Mania main event at some point during the next few weeks. For whatever it’s worth, Lynch vs. Flair is being advertised for next moth’s Fastlane pay-per-view.
