The Undertaker getting ready to start a podcast?

A new trademark filed by Starrcast, LLC will have some eyebrows raised among fans and people in WWE.

On 2/14, Starrcast, LLC filed for the “Dead Man Talking” trademark. The trademark is for the following:

Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, providing podcasts in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment; Entertainment services, namely, providing video podcasts in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer.

As we noted earlier this week, it looks like he might be using “The DeadMan” for non-WWE appearances. The “Dead Man Talking” looks like it’s being registered for a podcast, either a one-off show for Starrcast or something full-time.

Taker has been open to doing more non-WWE appearances and a podcast could be very lucrative for him and another way for him to promote any upcoming projects and appearances.

It will be interesting to see how things play out. It would not surprise me to see WWE step in and try to sign him to a new contract to keep him away from events like Starrcast. As previously noted, Vince McMahon was not happy about Taker appearing at Starrcast II because he sees that event as being tied to AEW Double Or Nothing. Conrad Thompson has said several times that Starrcast and AEW are two separate entities.
