David Arquette’s sister says he suffered a heart attack before his return to wrestling

Patricia Arquette, the sister of former WCW Champion David Arquette, is not a fan of her brother getting back into wrestling.

Patricia told Ellen Degeneres this week that her brother had a heart attack a year and a half ago. Arquette, who was shown sitting ringside this week at Monday Night Raw, is a huge wrestling fan and recently decided to get back into wrestling because he feels like he disrespected the business during his time in WCW and he wants to make things right with the fans.

Many fans may not know this but he was against winning the WCW World Heavyweight Championship because he didn’t want to degrade the belt and he ended up giving away his WCW earnings to benefit Brian Pillman’s family.

“So he started wrestling again, and it is scary. He’s older now, he had a heart attack, and now he’s wrestling,” Patricia Arquette said. “It really scares me. I actually don’t watch the matches because it would terrify me too much.”

“Eighteen years ago, I won a WCW World Heavyweight Belt,” David told People.com. “But that win was a big disgrace to the belt and the wrestling community and ever since people have been criticizing me. I really wanted to prove myself and stand up for myself. I was sick of being bullied and for people thinking I’m just some punk from Hollywood.”

Arquette wrestled a Death Match in November and things went wrong when he had his neck slashed during his match with Nick Gage after a light tube was smashed over his head.

David says he plans on wrestling again but he will never do another Death Match.
