Kevin Owens on his desire for a lengthy babyface run

Former WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens was recently a guest on Lilian Garcia’s podcast, Chasing Glory, where he talked on a wide variety of topics.

During the interview, Owens was asked if he prefers being a heel over being a babyface. This is where Owens noted that he wants to have a long run as a babyface. This turns out to be quite relevant as it looks like WWE is turning Owens babyface.

As seen on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live in San Antonio, TX at the AT&T Center on the USA Network, Heavy Machinery beat Owens and Dolph Ziggler in a tag team match. After the match, Owens hit a Stunner to Ziggler.

“Only because I’ve been a heel for so long now, I personally am ready for something different. And I also would love to see how successful I can be as a babyface. My ego tells me I’d be great. But I got a tiny taste of it and then for reasons beyond my control for what the show needed, I had to go back the other way. And I’m trying to make it as good as I can. But I still have this need to find out if I’m right.”
