Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Batista spoke about a wide range of pro wrestling related topics when he joined Chris Jericho’s podcast, Talk is Jericho.
During the interview, he talked about why his match against Triple H took so long to be booked. This is when he revealed a role that he turned down at WrestleMania 32 in 2016 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
“Then there was another time where they had Stone Cold, Mick Foley, and Shawn Michaels and they did something with the New Day. I was supposed to play the part of Mick and I said that was something I didn’t want. Hunter was there and I said, ‘When are we going to start talking about Hunter at Mania?’ They just never really showed any interest in it.”
“The Animal” shared the squared circle with Triple H in a No Holds Barred Match at WrestleMania 35. Batista lost the match and announced his retirement just a few hours after the event.
