Several days ago, we reported that Sasha Banks was advertised for the Raw taking place in Tampa a week from this coming Monday night. Banks is also advertised for SummerSlam in Toronto.
The ads might not mean anything because, as noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE told Dave Meltzer that Banks’ return is still “to be determined.”
Things appear to be better between both sides after Banks spoke with Vince McMahon several weeks ago. After the meeting, the feeling was that Banks would be back towards the end of the summer but there was nothing official on her return date.
There was speculation this week that she was on her way back after she posted photos of herself in Japan where she was training with Sendai Girls promotion. The wrestling training would indicate that she plans to get in the ring again.
It’s a matter of “when” not “if” she will return to WWE because she is still under contract and she would have to return to work because they can freeze her contract, which would mean that she would have to wait longer to leave if she ever decides to wrestle elsewhere.
