The Raw viewership news this week was good for WWE as the show drew 2.453 million viewers. That is an increase of 4.3% from last week’s show.
This week’s episode featured the fallout from Extreme Rules, including an appearance from Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. WWE also set up two top matches for SummerSlam (Raw Women’s Champ Becky Lynch vs. Natalya and Universal Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins). This show also featured Bray Wyatt’s return as The Fiend.
The number 1 contender for the Universal Title match was determined by a Cross brand All-Star Battle Royal and that was enough to get people to stick with the show because the third hour drew a strong 2.478 million viewers.
Here is the hourly breakdown:
Hour 1 – 2.379 million viewers
Hour 2 – 2.503 million viewers
Hour 3 – 2.478 million viewers
The third hour had more viewers than the first, which is rare these days and a good sign that fans were interested in what WWE was offering.
Next week’s episode is expected to draw the biggest viewership of 2019 to date with several legends returning for a big reunion show. Names advertised to appear include Stone Cold Steve Austin, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Diesel, Razor Ramon, The Godfather, and many others.
