WWE will be airing a special event, Smackville, on the WWE Network later this month.
This appears to be another live event stream being done as a test run for when they introduce different pay tiers later this year. As previously noted, they’ve been looking into doing Saturday night specials from live events and there are plans to air shows from independent companies.
The Smackville special will feature a Triple Main Event for the WWE Championship featuring Kofi Kingston defending against Samoa Joe and Dolph Ziggler. Also, Shinsuke Nakamura will defend his Intercontinental Championship against Finn Balor in a rematch from Extreme Rules. The live stream will also include a performance from Elias.
Smackville will air live from Nashville, TN on Saturday, July 27 at 9 pm eastern.
