WWE cancels live event in Texarkana for second straight time

WWE has canceled the scheduled Raw live event for this Friday, July 26 at the Four States Fairgrounds in Texarkana, Texas, according to a statement from the Four States Fair & Rodeo, who announced the news in a Facebook post.

As of this writing, there was no reason was given for this cancellation. Although WWE has been known to cancel several recent SmackDown Monday night live events, it’s uncommon for them to nix events on Friday.

It turns out that this isn’t the first WWE cancellation for Texarkana as the company had a live event scheduled for February 2, 2018 that was also nixed. At the time, WWE noted in an announcement that the cancellation was due to a scheduling issue.

At the time, the Texarkana Gazette reported the real reason was due to low ticket sales, according to a WWE spokesman. You can read the full announcement here:

“The WWE Event scheduled for July 26th has been cancelled. Please note that if you paid for your tickets via credit card the amount will be refunded to you within the next 14 days. if you paid cash you can return to the box office after noon today to receive your refund. You must bring in your tickets and have a valid ID to receive your refund. Thank you!”
