WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin did a recent interview with TMZ Sports where he spoke about his belief that fellow pro wrestling legend Ric Flair is the GOAT of pro wrestling.
With such high praise from one legend to another, Austin’s opinion is certainly not one to take for granted.
“Oh man, he’s the absolute greatest of all time, to ever lace up a pair of boots, and the greatest world champion of all time. And you know, Hulk Hogan was such a huge name in his own right with putting wrestling on the map when he did, and taking it to the heights that he did, but Ric Flair is somebody that I really hold near and dear to me.”
Austin has not wrestled a match since 2003 when he decided to it was time to retire from the pro wrestling business after years of dealing with a series of injuries.
Although many fans wished that Austin would’ve been able to wrestle for a few more years longer, he had a great career and regarded as one of the biggest stars in the history of WWE.
