WWE forced to rearrange their TV and live event schedule for next show in Saudi Arabia

WWE has had to rearrange their live event and TV schedule for November to accommodate the Saudi Arabian government for their next live show in the country.

As noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the next WWE show in Saudi Arabia is now back to taking place on Friday, November 1st after there was talk of that date being changed.

WWE previously canceled UK shows and the entire Italy tour and they had to rearrange their TV schedule to accommodate Saudi Arabia’s request when they thought that 11/1 was not going to work out. It turns out that those dates could have been kept on the schedule because Saudi Arabia has gone back to wanting the show on November 1st.

So, the situation is now that the Saudi Arabia show will take place on a Friday afternoon and a few hours later they need to do SmackDown Live on FOX from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. That is unless WWE decides to tape SmackDown a few days earlier.

With just a little over three months until the Saudi show, WWE has to make moves soon in regards to what they will do with the SmackDown show airing on the same day. One thing they could do is an all-women’s show. There is no Evolution pay-per-view on the schedule so an all-women’s show would make sense for a special SmackDown show.

They can also leave a few top names off the Saudi show so they can be on SmackDown but for the last three Saudi shows, they’ve brought in most of the male talent and if they want to do some sort of battle royal then they may need to bring in most of the male roster.

Another idea would be to do a special NXT show but I think the all-women’s show is a better idea.
