Although WWE confirmed that Dolph Ziggler will face The Miz at SummerSlam, it appears that match is not happening.
Dave Meltzer is reporting at F4WOnline.com that the match will actually not take place. According to the report, the announcement is a “red herring” and the match will be changed.
This comes after he had reported in last week’s edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Ziggler will have a match at the show but it wouldn’t be against The Miz.
It won’t be against WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels either after he attacked the legendary pro wrestler on last week’s episode of SmackDown Live.
As of this writing, there’s no word yet on who Ziggler will be facing at SummerSlam.
The SummerSlam pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, August 11, 2019 in Toronto, Ontario at the Scotiabank Arena.
