Jonathan Coachman chimed in on FOX Sports host Rob Stone briefly winning the WWE 24/7 Championship over the weekend. In the same tweet, Coachman took the opportunity to rip on some executives from ESPN. He later clarified that his comments were about “certain executives” and most of them are gone or have been replaced. Coach also noted that their new president is undoing some of the things that cost hundreds of people their jobs in 2017.
Coachman wrote, “Hey @RobStoneONFOX good thing you are at a network that allows you to shoot this stuff, have fun, and don’t get punished for trying to bring in eyeballs from across multiple platforms. Oh wait my bad I just described my entire career at @espn.”
Coachman confirmed his departure from ESPN in October 2017, just months after massive layoffs in the company. These days, he appears on the pre-show panels before pay-per-view and he works as a commentator PGA Tour Live, an NBC Sports Gold subscription service that provides additional coverage to golf tournaments.

Nope. Just certain executives. Most of them are gone or have been replaced. And needed to be. There are a ton of great people who work at espn. Their new president is doing a great job undoing some of the bad decisions that cost hundreds of people their jobs. https://t.co/9aXzZwIjpb
