It seems like WWE is relying more on Stone Cold Steve Austin these days to bring in ratings and to boost their attendance.
Austin was the main attraction at Raw Reunion several weeks ago and he appeared again recently in a Skype segment. Now, he is booked for Raw at Madison Square Garden on September 9th.
WWE is doing two nights of TV at The Garden with Raw on 9/9 and SmackDown Live on 9/10. This would be the first TV tapings in that building since 2009 when John Cena and The Undertaker headlined vs. D-X (Shawn Michaels and Triple H) vs. Chris Jericho and Big Show in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match.
There’s no word yet what is planned for Austin but WWE says he will be there to “raise some hell.”
Tickets are still available for both nights at MST at Ticketmaster.com.
I cannot believe it has been so long. Time flies by. The Garden is home to many of my favorite moments in my career. @BretHart in #survivorseries @undertaker in #summerslam #highwaytohell and stunning @VinceMcMahon for the very first time. Along with many others.
