For years now there has been speculation that former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski would wrestle in the WWE.
However, it appears that while he’s interested in the idea, he’s in no rush of doing it.
With his retirement from pro football, the chances of him making another appearance on WWE television or perhaps working a match could become a reality.
Gronkowski announced a new partnership with CBDMedic on Tuesday during a press conference. CBS Boston has posted the video and during the presser, Gronk talked about his dream of one-day wrestling.
“With wrestling, I don’t feel like I would be a full-time wrestler. There is one thing I’m down for. That’s to do one crazy match.” He would continue by noting that he would like to train and potentially do a Royal Rumble Match.
He wouldn’t give a timetable as to when he plans to wrestle because “I got the rest of my life to do that.”
