WWE news on changes that were made to last week’s Monday Night Raw

Paul Heyman may have more influence on Monday Night Raw these days but Vince McMahon is still making changes whenever he sees something that he doesn’t like.

Dave Meltzer noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that there were a few changes made last week to Monday Night Raw.

As noted earlier, The Viking Raiders were scheduled for a squash match but those plans changed. Click here for more details on that story.

The Authors Of Pain were supposed to return but those plans were scrapped because McMahon decided to keep them off the show. Click here for more on that story.

Meltzer also noted that The Miz vs. Baron Corbin match was supposed to go 5 minutes but they had to stretch to 10 minutes because of the Viking Raiders match that was pulled.

In other news, although Drake Maverick said on Twitter that he was stuck in floodwaters and was unable to make it to the show, the reality is that he was indeed backstage. He wasn’t used because they didn’t have anything written for him.
