Jon Moxley won the IWGP U.S. Championship in a Texas Death Match at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 14

In a brutal Texas Death Match, Jon Moxley defeated Lance Archer to win the IWGP United States Championship.

The match was brutal with all sorts of weapons. Archer appeared to have sliced his arm and he was bloody in the moments of the match after Mox delivered the Death Rider through two tables at ringside. That was enough for Mox to win since Archer was unable to get up by the count of 10. Per the match stipulations, the only way to win the match was via submission or one man could not get up by the 10-count. Mox will face Juice Robinson tomorrow night.

After the match, Moxley grabbed the microphone and said he will settle the score with Juice Robinson tomorrow night once and for all.

It has been a busy week and a busy month so far for Moxley. He defeated Trent on AEW Dynamite on Wednesday night and appears to be heading towards an AEW title shot with Chris Jericho next month at AEW Revolution.
