As previously noted, AEW will be honoring several Memphis wrestling legends on Tuesday night at AEW Dynamite in Southaven, MS.
Dave Meltzer is reporting that legendary Memphis wrestling announcer Dave Brown will be calling the action on AEW Dark and Excalibur will be doing his best to try to call the action like the late Lance Russell would have.
Meltzer noted that Doug Gilbert will be appearing to honor Tommy and Eddie Gilbert. Shane Russell, Lance’s son, will be there to honor his father.
Meltzer also noted that Lanny Poffo will be there to honor his father Angelo Poffo and brother “Macho Man” Randy Savage. Austin Idol and “Handsome” Jimmy Valiant are also scheduled to be there on Wednesday night.
Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson last appeared at AEW Full Gear and have seen a resurgence in the last year or so. They will also be appearing on Wednesday night.
