Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has landed his next gig.
On Saturday, it was reported by Deadline and Variety that the former WWE Champion has a new NBC series for a comedy based on his childhood.
“The Young Rock” will feature 11 episodes and Rock will appear in every episode, which chronicles his “formative years.
The Rock will executive produce under his Seven Bucks Productions alongside Nahnatchka Khan, Jennifer Carreras, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia and Brian Gewirtz.
The Rock has worked with NBC before as he has a relationship with NBC through The Titan Games that he currently hosts. His latest film, Jumanji: The Next Level, has grossed over $600M worldwide and will next star in Disney’s Jungle Cruise.
The Rock took to his official Twitter account where he commented on the series as he posted a video as well as wrote the following in the caption:
