Al Rosen, Rocky Johnson’s best friend, spoke with Hannibal TV’s Devon Nicholson to clear up some rumors on what went down at the funeral last week.
Nicholson previously noted that there was odd behavior from Pat Patterson and Vince McMahon and he says the stories of what went down at the funeral were backed up by Davey Boy Smith, Jr, who was in attendance at the funeral.
Rosen said The Johnson family appreciated every person that attended the funeral. He said Vince McMahon is considered family to them because he’s been there since the days from when Peter Maivia wrestled. Rosen also said that Patterson and Maivia were best friends so they consider Pat to be part of the family.
Rosen said the Johnson family did not feel disrespected. Rosen added, “Was Vince short? He was probably the most direct. He said exactly what Rocky would want somebody to say about him. [Vince said] he was a talented and gifted worker and he said the best thing that he ever did, which he admitted to me hundreds of times, was marrying Ata and having a baby named Dwayne.”
Rosen said that Pat did not use church language. He said Pat did not get pulled off the stage but did confirm that Pat’s microphone was turned off. Rosen said again that the family was honored to have everyone who attended the funeral.
