On Tuesday’s episode of WWE Backstage on FOX Sports 1, there was a segment where CM Punk, Becky Lynch, and Paige recalled the match they are most proud of in their careers.
This is where Paige noted how proud she was of her match against AJ Lee at the SummerSlam pay-per-view event in 2014. Paige won the Divas Title from Lee in this match.
It turns out that Paige noted how Lee was dealing with an injury and Lee didn’t take one bump for the first 15-minutes of the contest.
Lee saw the clip and took to her Twitter account where she not only revealed her exact injury but also praised Paige for taking care of her.
“I herniated 3 discs in my cervical spine the week before this match, couldn’t turn my head or feel my hands. Doctor asked me if I had been in a car crash haha. @RealPaigeWWE protected me fiercely like a goddamn superhero (I think even helped dress me), so I heart her forever.”
