The first trailer for the next installment in the movie franchise, “Fast & Furious 9,” has dropped.
Production started in July 2019 and the film is set to release on May 22, 2020.
Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, John Cena, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, with Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron star in the film.
It’s directed by Justin Lin and written by Dan Casey. The producers are Neal H. Moritz, Vin Diesel, Jeff Kirschenbaum, Joe Roth, Justin Lin, Clayton Townsend, Samantha Vincent.
The trailer revealed Cena’s role in the film. The plot reads like, In the film, “Dominic Toretto (Diesel) and his family must face against a new deadlier enemy in the form of Jakob (Cena), Dominic’s younger brother, as well as their old threat Cipher (Theron).”
