Kurt Angle offers high praise to AJ Styles

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle spoke with Gary Cassidy of SportsKeeda for a new interview where he spoke about a wide range of topics.

During the interview, the legendary pro wrestler gave some high praise to former WWE Champion AJ Styles. The two stars had some classic matches in TNA Wrestling.

In fact, Angle made it clear that he thinks WWE made a mistake by not signing Styles ten years ago. The company did sign Styles in 2016 where he has worked as a top star for them since that time.

“Oh, I think WWE should have brought him in ten years ago. Unfortunately they didn’t but they got him. AJ’s still going strong. I’d say he’s every bit as good as he was ten years ago so I just hope his career continues on and he can give us a few more years. He’s been doing this for a while, for over 20 years. He was an amateur wrestler before. AJ is one of the best in the company, if not the best in the world, and he’s been that guy for eight years now – so he’s had a lot of success.”

Styles suffered an injury at the Royal Rumble that will keep him on the sidelines. For the latest on his status heading into WrestleMania, click here.
