Booker T has advice for The Revival: Take the money

Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has some advice for The Revival (Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson).

It was recently reported that the duo turned down a massive money offer from WWE, and once again requested their release from the company. Both men were reportedly offered more than $700,000 a year to remain with the company, but with that being said, the team simply is “just ready to go.”

Recently, Booker took to his podcast, “The Hall Of Fame,” to offer Wilder and Dawson some advice. The Hall Of Famer’s advice was simple – take the money. (H/T Fightful)

“If I could give them any advice, ‘Take the money. Take what’s behind door number one.’ If they came to me and said, ‘Hey Book, we’re going to give you a million dollars a year. You’re not going to win any titles. We’ll give you TV time. A 15-year contract.’ I’m gonna shut the hell up. I don’t give a damn about no titles.

“Legacy and all that is okay. But if I had the choice of getting the money, and not working, I’m taking the money and I’m not gonna care about the legacy. I’m gonna take that $15 million and parlay that into 45 or 50. For me, it was about getting paid and parlaying professional wrestling into what I’m doing right now. If they would’ve said, ‘you can take the money and work sporadically’ or ‘take the money and stay at home.’

“You would have never saw me again. I’m serious. I love the business. I got a school. I love watching these young guys going out there and live their dream. I loved living my dream as well. When I first got into the business, I had never left the state of Texas. And I was on a 15-hour flight to Japan. I’m on a flight to Germany. I’m on my way to The Islands.

“I went to North Korea. If I had to give it all back? No, I wouldn’t. But, if they would have gave me $1 million a year, I could’ve taken all those trips anyway and got a chance to enjoy them instead of going to the building and then to the airport.”

As it stands, Dawson’s deal with WWE is up in April, while Wilder’s runs through to June. All signs point to the pair jumping ship to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) where a lot of their friends currently work.
