A top NXT star may have been injured during last night’s episode on the USA Network.
There are multiple reports suggesting that ex-NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa may have suffered an injury at the show. He seemed to be dealing with a knee or leg injury before the Six-Man Tag Team main event that saw Ciampa team up with Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne to take on The Undisputed Era (NXT Champion Adam Cole and NXT Tag Team Champions Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish)
Ciampa, Riddle, and Dunne emerged victorious via disqualification. During the match, Ciampa was checked out by WWE doctors at ringside. Dunne also seemed concerned for him when they were on the apron together. Some even speculate that Ciampa could’ve been injured before the match even started. There has been no official confirmation on Ciampa’s injury as of this writing.
He’s currently slated to challenge Cole for the NXT Title at NXT TakeOver: Portland on February 16.
