Teddy Hart arrested on controlled substance charges, mugshot (Photo)

Former Major League Wrestling (MLW) star, and member of the legendary Hart Family, Teddy Hart, has been arrested.

According to the City of Richmond criminal database, the 40-year-old was arrested on Tuesday night on charges of controlled substance and possession with intent to sell and distribute. The arrest took place in Richmond, Virginia. In Virginia, possession of a Schedule III controlled substance is a Class 1 misdemeanor. This could result in a maximum penalty of up to 12 months in prison and a $2,500 fine.

Schedule III controlled substances could also include anabolic steroids and ketamine. This isn’t Hart’s first run-in with the law. He was arrested in December of 2014 in Canada on several sexual assault charges. However, those charges were dropped in 2016. His latest arrest prior to this week’s incident took place in January of 2017 where Hart attempted to evade police after being pulled over for a hazardous traffic violation in Texas.

Those charges were also dropped. Hart, who was released from MLW in December, is scheduled for a court appearance on April 23. Check out his mugshot below.
