Update on rumored inductees for 2020 WWE Hall Of Fame

As first noted on Wednesday by WrestleVotes, The Bella Twins and Jushin “Thunder” Liger are set to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame. They will join the NWO as part of this year’s class of inductees.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer confirmed that the WrestleVotes report is accurate. There are others set to be inducted but they have yet to be confirmed.

Vince McMahon has a quota he wants to fill every year where at least one woman goes in and the limit on deceased wrestlers is no more than one.

For what it’s worth, Randy Orton is not the only person pushing for Ken Shamrock. I was told that at least one other person has pushed the idea of having Shamrock inducted. Shamrock hasn’t done anything with the company since he left in 1999 to go back to UFC but he would like to be recognized by WWE for his work in the wrestling business and he would like to repair the bridge with the company. Shamrock is set to be inducted into the Impact Wrestling Hall Of Fame in October.

Another name that I was told has been suggested is “British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith. Paige suggested his name in a Twitter post and others have done so privately. I don’t know if he is getting inducted this year but it’s interesting that his son, Davey Boy Smith Jr., appeared on WWE’s The Bump this week.
